Dubai Expands Emirati Broker Programme as Real Estate Transactions Exceed AED 500 Million

The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced the significant expansion of its Dubai Real Estate Broker Programme, aimed at increasing Emirati participation in the property sector. The initiative has already exceeded 180% of its annual qualification target, with over AED 500 million in transaction value recorded through licensed Emirati brokers.

Since its inception, the programme has helped license 231 new brokerage firms and continues to support the goals outlined in the Dubai Social Agenda 2033. Participants who complete the programme receive a three-year ‘National Broker’ licence, gaining access to specialised real estate training delivered in partnership with accredited academic institutions.

To broaden engagement, DLD is calling on real estate developers and brokerage firms to collaborate and contribute to building a more inclusive and skilled local workforce. The department has already engaged 71 strategic partners through 10 stakeholder meetings, including developers, brokers, and training institutes.

In addition, DLD plans to introduce a points-based incentive system to encourage brokerage firms to hire Emirati talent. A percentage of real estate project allocations will also be set aside for programme graduates to enhance their long-term career opportunities.

Interested Emirati citizens can register for the programme through the official platform using their UAE Pass credentials: https://nbp.dubailand.gov.ae
